Orchard Manor contains two fully equipped self-catering units sleeping 5 (Unit 1) and 6 (Unit 2) people. Units are serviced daily at no extra cost. To make units more affordable for couples, we’ve created a unique couple set up in each unit and set a special couple’s price. See photos for the Couple’s Suite (Unit 1 modified) and Couple’s Retreat (Unit 2 modified) below.
Appliances include full standing fridge/freezer, oven, stove, microwave and kettle. Please note that neither unit has a T.V. in keeping with our ethos of being a mountain retreat. Don’t worry about missing the rugby, though – there are T.V.s in Dragon Peaks’ lounge and bar! We do have free wifi for those wanting to stay a little in touch with the world.
The two units have beautiful outdoor braai areas looking on to Cathkin and Champagne Castle mountain peaks. Unit 1 is located near the Old Orchard and Unit 2 is located near the New Orchard.
Please note that no smoking is allowed in either unit.
The road to Orchard Manor is tarred, and we have a cement driveway.
Unit 1
Unit 1 has an open plan kitchenette, dining room, lounge and main bedroom with a king sized bed. A side room and loft contain 2 singles and a 3/4 bed. The unit shares one large bathroom with a stunning mountain view, containing a bath and shower. The unit has a cosy fireplace for those chilly winter evenings and is a perfect romantic getaway or honeymoon suite. It is also ideal for a family holiday.
For those with mobility limitations, it has an access ramp for entry, a raised bed, lip-free shower with grab rail, and a raised toilet.

Unit 2
Unit 2 making up one wing of the Manor, is separated into three large rooms of which two are en suite bedrooms. The main bedroom contains a king sized bed and bathroom with bath and shower. The second bedroom, above the lounge, has 4 singles and a bathroom with a bath/shower combination. The third room contains an open plan lounge and dining room with a third bathroom. A fully equipped kitchenette is located off the lounge.
