What a delightful place! I cannot understate the value of this accommodation… Big spacious place, fantastic garden setting, well (tasteful and thoughtful) furnished interior, breathtaking views, awesome amenities (on and near the resort), super comfortable bathroom… I could go on but the cherry on the top is that this comes at a bargain price. We couldn’t ask for a better deal!

Most tranquil, clean and comfortable accommodation ever. Patrick and I have not been to the Drakensberg Mountains in 7 years, but since staying at Orchard Manor, we are planning our next trip in March and will definitely want to stay at Orchard Manor, we loved it! Clean, picture perfect and tranquil, definitely recommended if you love the mountains and nature!

This stay was wonderful. The location is a plus, there’s a lot of space to park safely the car. Inside you’ll find a big, big, big living room with fully stuffed kitchen and bathroom, there’s a braai, everything you need! The communication with the owner was clear. And last but not least, cuddling with zebra’s on my birthday was wonderful (they roam in the garden). This was our best stay during our 3,5 weeks South Africa trip!:-)

Brilliant spot. The view is second to none. Interior is well thought out and comfortable. Close to alot of activities. Our infant daughter loved interacting with the farm animals. Highly recommend as a base to explore.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in einer tollen Wohnung mit unglaublichem Ausblick auf die Berge und die drei Zebras nebst Esel! Die Lage ist als Ausgangspunkt für alle möglichen Aktivitäten hervorragend. Der Kontakt war bei allen Fragen schnell und zuverlässig. Extrawünsche wurden prompt umgesetzt, danke nochmals für den Laundryservice… Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Viele Grüße!

Such a beautiful setting with a stunning view of the Berg. Loved the idea that the hiking trails and mountain bike trails are available from the house. Would love to come back and explore more of them.

A cosy flat with a breath-taking view! We stopped over at Shannon’s place for two nights on our way up from Durban to Johannesburg. I recommend this little detour to anyone who has a few nights to spare on a similar journey. What a wonderful space you have, Shannon.

Wow, what a great stay! As you walk out the door to the back of the house, you are greeted by the most beautiful mountain views, neat lawn, and gorgeous orchard. You settle in for your stay and take a seat outside, only to be surprised by the view of 4 Zebra’s (one is just missing her stripes, but just as beautiful!) peacefully basking in the sun. The house is clean, and bigger than expected. The staff is friendly and helping. The most amazing view from any bathroom in the world. Close to any market style shops you may be interested in. I loved the location, where else can you leave the home you are staying in, and rite away be walking up a mountain, and before you know it, on a scenic mountain trail!? The hiking trails are fantastic, we went out for a “quick” hike, and ended up being out for almost 4 hours, and loved every minute. All in all, Shannon was a great host, replying to any query we had, and always upbeat. The location was clean, scenic and utterly beautiful. Loved our stay

We were warmly welcomed by Shannon and Glen., who had given us plenty of info and directions to arrive without trouble. They were very helpful throughout our stay too. Orchard Manor is Cody, well equipped and perfect for a family. The views from Orchard Manor are absolutely stunning (especially from the bathroom )! There are great walks from the doorstep and loads of activities. Great place!

Absolutely fantastic stay. Everything as expected. Glenn even started the fire for our late check in. Walking into the warm house was a delight. We were a family of 5 and the accommodation was perfect. The Berg is always great to visit and your location is really great! Will visit again!

This is a gem, secluded but still close to everything! You are surrounded by mountains and the zebras are right there in front of your window. The place is beautifully done (unit 1), it has all you need and the bed amazingly comfortable, thanks a lot!

We really enjoyed staying at Orchard Manor. The unit is very nice and clean, the location and the views of the mountains are simply amazing and the Dragons Peak park in which the house is located offers various outdoor activities, a restaurant and a shop for all necessities. For the first time in the Drakensberge, we could not have asked for a better place! Thanks Glenn and Shannon for a great Easter Weekend!
