What a wonderful space! Pictures do not do justice to the splendour of the setting, or the size and homeliness of the house. The daily zebra visits were a highlight, and the access to the facilities at Dragon Peaks was a huge bonus. Stunning new year break, thanks!

Being in Shannon’s house you feel like you’re in the most secluded area of the Drakensberg, except you’re not and within 10 minutes you’re at the park’s entrance, within 5 minutes you reach a supermarket and a nice restaurant. The house is very spacious and the many animals around make the cosy romantic picture complete. Communication with both Shannon, the site manager and the cleaning team was very easy and clear, and we made some very spontaneous changes in adding dates and hosting 2 of our friends, which were not a problem at all to arrange. It was a lovely stay!

This place is a gem hidden away in the mountains, but still close enough to everything that is close by. It has spectacular views of the central Drakensberg, as well as Cathkin Peak and it is great value for money.

This little gem may be a bit hard to find in darkness, but waking up to some zebra’s in front of your bedroom window makes up for that! We enjoyed a braai in the evening in total darkness and silence, watching the stars over champagne castle rock. This place was one of the highlights of our trip to South Africa. Close by are some beautiful walks.

Perfect location and incredible views. Gorgeous animals on the property add a lovely, homely touch. So many fun activities to choose from at the nearby resort but the property is far enough away to create a wonderful sense of peace and relaxation. Basic accommodation perfect for a down-to-earth family or group of friends!
